PERCH CONVERSATION

Three fluffy-feathered creatures perched for a time and season. The fourth was not interested in their conversation. So, he backed them - and looked away and soon flew in the direction of his thoughts!

The other three, however, waited in turn trusting Creation had a reason:

"A time and place for all things one said …"

Another began to flap its wings and slowly spread:

"We will rely on God Who cared for the sparrow

And be still as we rest on a branch limb so narrow"

Let us watch the others begin today’s flight …

One day it will be our turn to soar in heaven’s light"

We heard the angelic opening song of the morning

As their lyrics were revealed to us and now forming

Soon God’s little flock will have a new dawning

No longer would your tiny mouths still be yawning

Prepare thy heart as you wait patiently for him

And find the melody of your soul as you sing hymns

From the nest into the world you will begin to fly

As the Father leads you by the clear direction of His bountiful eye!

The Eagle's Heart Cry!

Feathers of an Eagle flew and settled on a church steeple

His naked solemn cry shouted:

"Where, oh, God are your people?"

My altar is prepared and welcomes every weeping heart

Empty pews without gathering saints. When will they start?"

Priests of holy garments release the fragrance of incense

Have the hearts of my people hardened — and the truth now an offense?

They seek my hand but seldom desire to behold my face

And expect mercy every morning alongside her friend, Grace

The Prophets of Old cried repentance for a dying nation

Is not holiness and deep reverence a lifetime-long temptation?

My invitation is for today as in the times of horse and chariot

There will never be any alteration in my messages or variant

The Eagle saw people walking the streets from a lofted window

Bustling about with cheer and trudging through falling snow

"Lord, they are talking, laughing, and buying holiday gifts

Oh Yes, I know all we could do is pray their priorities will shift

They seem to have more time for things and little for Me

When will they learn that money and people cannot set a soul free?"

Come to Me all who are weary and burdened I will give rest

In the secret place of worship is where your life will be blessed!

The Gospel Baton Safe Exchange!

When GOD had asked Prophet Moses to instruct the liberated Jews upon the celebration of their new-found Charter of Freedom in Deuteronomy 6, He more than foreknew what was at stake. His emphasis was on rightly instructing, diligently, the next generation. Possibly, you too do realize today, that our world is at a huge risk of being flatly obliterated by the ever-changing societal rules and norms introduced to us and our children and subsequently imposed upon us by the politicians, high-rise celebrities, and just about anyone who has an opinion on TikTok who happens to have large followership! But none of these is God!

Here were the very same words of the Almighty true God directed at God's Prophet to instruct the emancipated Hebrew-slaves with:

7 "And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates."

Today, I reminisce about my visit to one of my son’s universities last week and wanted to share with you two instances I was privileged to capture:

The first was his posture at prayer as the LORD spoke to him while the song: “Be Still for The Presence of the LORD is Here” was rendered. I was also very much moved in my spirit as I witnessed that same presence in the church auditorium!

The second was this young lad running out to Daniel and asking: “Sir, where have you been? I’ve missed your teaching. Will you be coming back to teach the Sunday School?”

Tears had welled up in my eyes as they both conversed!

"Yes, I will be back ... I only had a break - and thus left for Birmingham to see my family," he had replied.

Here, I witnessed in my son, passing onto this nine-year-old, the same baton he had witnessed me pass onto his siblings and many other peoples’ children: Two decades ago, this week — in spite of having been ordained as a pastor a decade earlier, I had taught Sunday School to the children at the then Aston Christian Center, Birmingham, England.

Joy filled my heart!

My young man had caught the fire, and had begun to fan into flame another ember that will matter much for Christ Jesus - and His Kingdom, for many generations to come. Thus, from myself to my son, and another young man, a spiritual replica had been formed. Apostle Paul's instruction to Timothy, his spiritual son had come to pass:

"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust

to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others" | 2 Timothy 2:2

Indeed, I am very grateful to the Lord for successfully counting me worthy to be able to pass onwards the baton of the Gospel to the GenerationNEXT
